Magnum Dynalab Ltd. is proud to introduce their newest Hybrid FM tuner the MD 106 Triode. The MD 106 Triode is the first of Magnum Dynalab's FM tuners using the Triode tube for the amplification stage. The MD 106 T continues with the tradition of separating the analog R. F. section and the audio section in the tuner so that we cam optimize both areas of the design.

The MD 106T uses an in-house analog front end design that utilizes a specially aligned five stage front end with precise hand-matched components in the critical areas. This design and selection process allows us to maximize sensitivity and selectivity while minimizing distortion, so that the signal sent to the audio section is pure.

To complement this world class R.F. section, Zdenko Zivkovic has designed a world class triode audio section to insure the performance characteristics that customers have come to expect from Magnum Dynalab. Zdenko has paid special attention to three areas of the design.

1. First and the most important, is getting a complete grounding circuit so that there are not any stray ground path signals that will alter the micro-information, allowing the listener to get the full emotion of the music.

2. Secondly the design of the power supply utilizing a special path and very high grade components eliminates any ripple effect from the AC source that would interfere with the nuances in the music.

3. Lastly but no less important is the zero feedback design that does not alter the original waveform. Zdenko has a passion for the music and in designing this audio section for the MD 106 Triode: his goal is that you should feel his passion for the music as he does.

Zdenko Zivkovic of Yugoslavia has many world class A tube-designed products to his credit, he has been designing tube audio sections for over 20 years, and we are proud to have him on the Magnum Dynalab team.

The PRECISION ANALOGUE REMOTE SYSTEM
Is now available as an option on all production Magnum Dynalab tuners, receivers and as an update to all previous Magnum Dynalab tuners and receivers.

This extremely accurate and silent remote system was developed in conjunction with engineering support from Texas Instruments and Archronix Corporation of Toronto, Ontario.

The remote utilizes TI’s latest 16-bit ultra low power processor with 60 KB flash memory, 2048 bytes RAM, 125-ns instruction cycle time, 12-Bit A/D converter with internal reference, Sample-and-Hold and auto-scan, Dual 12-Bit D/A converters, 16-Bit timer_A with three capture/compare registers, supply voltage supervisor/monitor and numerous additional features.

Needless to say this is the most accurate tuning system ever found in a Magnum Dynalab tuner as the resolution exceeds even that of our precision tuning potentiometers with no potential for performance degradation due to mechanical wear. The user can switch between manual and auto tune simply by turning the remote control off with the hand-held.

Future software upgrades to this system will include an auto alignment feature to compensate for deviations as components age or operating parameters change. Presets are maintained in a non-volatile flash memory in case of any power interruption.
